Office:

PO Box 604

Wayzata, MN 55301

Our offices are located in Wayzata, Minnesota, a community on Lake Minnetonka in the western Twin Cities metropolitan area. In addition to serving clients in Minnesota, we serve clients located throughout the country.

What does working with a fiduciary mean for me?

It means you can trust that we’re always putting your interests first—it’s a legal requirement for us, not just a preference. We earn our fees directly from you, we don’t take commissions from product sales, and we have no broker-dealer relationships that might create conflicts. Our business model keeps our interests aligned with yours.

What kind of clients do you work with?

We serve both individuals and institutions. On the individual side, we typically work with corporate executives, business owners, and families managing portfolios of $1 million or more. On the institutional side, we target working with retirement plans ranging from $10-$250 million and nonprofits with endowment or foundations from $100,000 to $300 million.

How do you approach building portfolios?

Every portfolio we create is built specifically for that client. We conduct our investment research internally using the same rigorous analysis we’d apply to institutional portfolios, and we tailor everything to your individual goals, timeline, and comfort with risk. We don’t use templates or outsource our investment decisions.

What does institutional-grade research mean in practice?

It means applying the depth of analysis that large organizations receive to every client relationship—whether you’re an individual or an institution. Our CFA charterholders and investment team conduct comprehensive manager research, detailed risk analysis, and ongoing monitoring, all done in-house rather than delegated to a third party.

Do you provide comprehensive financial planning?

Our core strength is investment management. We focus there because that’s where we can add the most value. When you’re going through a major transition—like retirement or a family change—we help you navigate the investment and planning considerations that come with it. We also coordinate closely with your CPA and attorney on tax and estate matters to make sure everything works together.

Do we need to live in Minnesota to work with you?

Not at all. While we’re based in Minnesota, we work with clients throughout the country—in states like Florida, Texas, California, Pennsylvania, and others. We’re comfortable working remotely and have built strong relationships with clients regardless of where they live.

How does working with a smaller firm compare to working with a large investment company?

Larger firms often rely on centralized investment models because they need systems that scale across thousands of clients. We’ve chosen to stay intentionally small so we can provide the kind of personalized attention and custom research that gets difficult at scale. You get institutional-quality analysis built specifically for your situation, along with direct access to the people managing your portfolio.

What types of retirement plans do you consult on?

We work with 401(k), 403(b), 457(b), and defined benefit plans. Our clients range from organizations just starting their retirement plans to established companies with mid- and large-market plans. In every case, we serve as a fiduciary partner to the plan committee.
