About us.

Guided by research. Grounded in integrity.

From institutional roots to independent advisory.

Perceptive Edge Investment Management was incorporated in 2002 as an independent Registered Investment Advisor. The firm initially focused on individual wealth management, drawing on decades of institutional investment experience across hedge funds, mutual funds, trust companies, and insurance.

In 2010, we expanded our services to include corporate retirement plan consulting and endowment and foundation advisory work. This addition created a unique practice model where insights from each area strengthen our work in the others. Working with retirement plan participants informs our understanding of individual planning needs. Managing institutional assets enhances the research capabilities we apply to personal relationships.

Throughout our evolution, we have maintained our commitment to operating exclusively as a fiduciary. We have never held broker-dealer registration, ensuring that every recommendation reflects client interests without product requirements or commission considerations influencing our guidance.

Partnership without product quotas.

We exist to provide the kind of advice we’d want for our own families: analytical, transparent, and free from product sales pressure.

Too many investors work with advisors who face quotas with commission structures, or proprietary product requirements that create conflicts between what’s best for the firm and what’s best for the client. We built Perceptive Edge to mitigate those conflicts. As pure fiduciaries, we’re compensated directly by clients, which means our only obligation is helping you make sound decisions.

We believe investors deserve institutional-grade research and customized strategies instead of portfolios built from pre-approved product lists. Our purpose is to deliver that level of rigor and personalization—whether you’re an individual planning for retirement, a committee managing a corporate retirement plan, or a board overseeing an endowment.

Experience true fiduciary partnership.
